Lives We Lead: Leadership Portfolios

Practice Type:
Portfolio: Multi-Purpose
Purpose of Practice:

The attached PowerPoint presentation describes results of research using OSP to support students developing portfolios to explore their leadership identity and practices in a co-curricular context conducted in Spring 2007. The Lives We Lead was a joint project of the New Century College and University Life at George Mason and is part of the third cohort of the Inter/National Coalition for Electronic Portfolio Research. A range of handouts, forms, wizards, and templates used in this project are available on this site. For more information about this project, contact Darren Cambridge (dcambrid@gmu.edu).

Live We Lead: Leadership Matrix

Resource Type:
OSP Matrix

Lives We Lead: Reflection Wizard

Resource Type:
OSP Zip Package

Wizard used during the first half of the semester.

Live We Lead: Reflective Writing Prompts

Resource Type:
Assignment

This set of reflective writing prompts was used by students during the first half of the semester. Students chose one prompt to write about and attached evidence to support each week. Responses were collected through a hierarchical wizard and responses were made through the evaluation tool. We found, however, that it was difficult to determine when new material had been added, and evaluations didn't work well for the kind of informal feedback we wished to provide.
