1. Please see paper, "Discussion, Participation and Feedback in Online Courses" by Craig Fisher, Information Systems, Marist College which was presented at the Information Systems Educators Conference (ISECON) in Nashville, TN October, 2010. The paper appears in the 2010 ISECON Proceedings v27 n1382.   copyright 2010 EDSIG.

2. I have actually used these techniques extensively in multiple courses for several years; so I did not specify one single course.

3. My proposal follows the line of Future Research I introduced on page 6 of my paper to study the efficacy of these techniques.  I suggest we solicit volunteers (teachers) who may have had poor results or difficulties with online classes and coach them on the techniques.  Then prepare a summary report of the previous (prior to using the techniques) class evaluations compared to the current evaluations (after using the techniques). I will make hypothesis and test them appropriately. In depth categorization of techniques and usage to be done and reported upon as well.  A formal research methodology to be spelled out as part of the work effort this summer.
