Legal Environment of Business

The fundamental purpose of this course is to help you become conversant citizens in the area of business law. Every day, businesspeople, lawmakers, political commentators, and colleagues use, discuss, and are affected by the law. Accordingly, if you are to confidently enter the professional world, you must understand basic legal terms and concepts, as well as how the law is administered, applied, used (and misused). <?xml:namespace prefix = o />

To further this purpose, this course offers an introduction to selected areas of law that you will frequently encounter in the business world. The course also strives to hone your critical thinking, logical reasoning, and analytical skills, and to train you to intelligently form and express your own ideas about the way the law is - or should be - applied.
