An examination of the roles of the mass media in American society, including an analysis of the philosophical basis of media structure; mass media as business; media effects on public issues, morals and tastes; and other contemporary issues. Structure of the course: This is a hybrid course that includes a mix of on-site meetings in Round Rock and online assignments, projects and collaboration. You will need to have access to a computer and Internet in order to complete this course.
