Alice works as an online learning designer at Unisa, the Univ of South Africa, a wholly distance learning institution with over 300 000 per annum. They are now branching into elearning and have been using SAKAI since 2006.

I have 8 years academic teaching experience in higher education. I am the subject head for two undergraduate modules and one postgraduate module in strategic management.

I completed a BCom degree in Communications in 1998 which catered for a commercial qualification combined with Communications which enabled me to hone my writing skills, which is a passion. I then moved on to complete a BCom Honours degree in Strategic Management. I started as a lecturer in Business Management at a private college. I then enrolled for the Masters of Business Leadership degree at Unisa's School for Business Leadership while working full-time. I was promoted to HOD in Business management and economics at a larger private higher education institution. I joined Unisa as a senior lecturer in 2006 and I am working on a proposal for a Doctorate in the field of ODL teaching in strategic management.
