This is a short assessment tool that can be used by students to evaluate the performance of an instructor in an online courses. It is separate from a second tool used to evaluate online course development or materials. To get a complete picture of the student online experience, students should use BOTH tools as evaluation mechanisms.

Sakai Award

The Sakai Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 Teaching with Sakai Innovation Awards. Winners in the 3rd annual competition are:

Second Prize: Sally Knipe, Transitions in Middle Schooling, Charles Sturt University

Honorable Mention: Joshua Danish, Computational Technologies in Educational Ecosystems, Indiana University Bloomington

Honorable Mention: Karen Swenson, Introduction to Science Fiction and Fantasy, Virginia Tech

Each of the winners will be presenting their use of Sakai for teaching and learning at the Sakai Conference in Denver, Colorado on June 15 – 17, 2010.
